Alan Ford & the strangest thing.

Updated: Jun 15, 2019

There are times in life when we experience what we simply can not explain.

Well, there are 'coincidental' moments when we may spot someone we were thinking about earlier. Maybe a received call from a person that was lingering in your thoughts a few moments ago. Is this what we call ‘the’ Law of Attraction? To think of a thing and release the thought, It rarely comes while you are thinking of it. Anything that happens is usually after the thought itself has been forgotten.

The strangest thing......

I was recording in a studio based in Primrose Hill London near Camden town where I was finishing off my first single. Alan Ford from the Guy Ritchie movie 'snatch’ (which featured Brad Pitt with his great Irish accent) was also recording a song there called 'Where’s the Party' and after the day was complete we all went to the local restaurant for some sea food.

Alan Ford & Djinn after a long day in the studios

Half way during the meal Alan got a little deep and the conversation continued to flow into the direction of coincidence, religion, fate, destiny and the occult. One of the other artists began speaking about sacred texts and books that were banned. Some of the books brought into the discussion were The Bible, Quran, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho as well as some others. One particular book mentioned was 'The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. I was told by another recording artist who was present at the time that the book had initially been banned. After a few years it had become available. With eager vocal tones I told him that I would be paying a visit to Waterstones in order to purchase the book the following morning.

The next day, I woke up early, got my coffee fix and was ready to leave. Bear in mind now that I was living in Oxford and the studio / dinner was in London. As I left the house I crossed the road heading towards the bus stop and what happened next was mind boggling!

Do you know what Nemesis means?

There was T junction that connects to the road I was intending to cross and there it was, the book, in the middle of the T junction! The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield, in a slightly battered condition, OBVIOUSLY left by SOMEONE, but who? None of those present at the studio knew where I lived. Would they have followed a coach from London Victoria all the way to Oxford and wait the following day to see if I may actually go to the book store? Where would they camp? How long would they wait? The book was all I had thought about since the discussion and I simply could not wait to get my hands on it. When I saw the book lying there in middle of the road with no one in sight, I looked around and picked it up completely baffled as to who and how! I turned back round and went home and the reading immediately began.

The Celestine Prophecy

I couldn't put the book down. In a nutshell, the book is about the power of intention, what happens as a process, how universal intelligence responds to your intention to do or achieve something. The experience itself was confirmation of the book's message and it gave me an experience I will never forget. I found the ending to be a little out there but still an excellent read and I highly recommend it to anyone who takes interest in coincidences / thought power and law of attraction.
